LG UltraGear OLED 45GX950A leaks with 5K2K resolution, DisplayPort 2.1 and more rumoured
LG has just released the UltraGear OLED 27GX790A globally, which it has promptly followed up with the cheaper UltraGear 32GS75QN-B. However, various sources have now turned to what the company may have in store for next year.
Specifically, references to the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A have now started turning up online. For instance LG has certified the unreleased monitor with the National Radio Research Agency in South Korea, just like the OLED C5 and OLED G5 before it. Additionally, the same model number has surfaced on the UL Solutions' database, evidence of which we have embedded below.

Details here
Reportedly, the UltraGear OLED 45GX950A will line up with a 5K2K (5,120 x 2,160) resolution and DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity. Moreover, the monitor is reputed to switch to an RGWB pixel layout too. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown at this stage, including whether it will go beyond the 240 Hz refresh rate offered by this year's UltraGear OLED 45GS95QE (curr. $996.99 on Amazon).
Incidentally, Samsung Display is rumoured to have created a new 27-inch QD-OLED panel with a 38% higher refresh rate than its current 360 Hz offer. In other words, the 1440p panel could surpass LG's current 480 Hz equivalent. Please see our earlier article for more details in this regard.
