The newly announced TCL 57R94 is an absolute behemoth of a gaming monitor featuring a 57-inch curved HVA panel with an ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratio. It also boasts mini-LED backlight capable of delivering an impressive peak HDR brightness of 1,200 nits.

The new TCL 57R94 is amongst the largest gaming monitors on the market. With a 57-inch diagonal and a 32:9 aspect ratio, the display is roughly as large as two 32-inch 16:9 monitors placed side by side. The Fast-HVA panel offers a resolution of 7,680 x 2,160 – effectively two 4K monitors combined – resulting in a pixel density of 140 PPI.

TCL claims the panel can cover up to 98% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. Besides offering 2,304 dimming zones for superior contrast, the mini-LED backlight enables the monitor to deliver a remarkable peak HDR brightness of 1,200 nits. The TCL 57R94 sports a curvature of 1,000R to ensure an optimal viewing angle. It also comes with gaming-focused features, such as a 120 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, and support for AMD FreeSync Premium to reduce screen tearing.

Rated at 2 x 10 watts, the built-in stereo speakers are exceptionally powerful for a monitor. Subtle RGB lighting on the back provides an ambient glow behind the screen. The model is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB-C port capable of charging a device at up to 90 watts. Additional features include a USB-A hub with four ports (5 Gbit/s), a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a KVM switch, and a height-adjustable stand.

Price and availability

The TCL 57R94 is expected to launch first in France by late June. Pricing and availability for other regions have yet to be confirmed. More information is available on the official product page.
