New Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 leaked pricing paints different picture from what was previously rumoured
There have been conflicting reports in recent weeks about how much Samsung intends to charge for its Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 (curr. $1,399.99 on Amazon) successors. In short, the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 were rumoured to cost considerably more in Europe than in the US. However, leaker @billbil_kun has now revealed what they claim to be final European prices for both devices, which paint a very different picture.
Please note that @billbil_kun's leaked pricing applies to France and not across the entire Eurozone. As a result, prices across in other Eurozone member states could be slightly higher or lower where VAT rates differ from the 20% that France levies on smartphone sales. Incidentally, various sources recently shared equivalent pricing for other forthcoming Samsung devices like the Galaxy Buds3, Galaxy Buds3 Pro, Galaxy Ring, Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, which we have covered separately.
Supposedly, the Galaxy Z Flip6 will start at €1,199 with 256 GB of storage. Alternatively, the device is said to be available with twice as much storage for a €120 surcharge. Consequently, @billbil_kun's latest leak suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip6 will retail for just as much as its predecessor, with 256 GB of storage but slightly less than its 512 GB variant. Moreover, @billbil_kun alleges that the Galaxy Z Flip6 will be available generally in blue, mint, silver and yellow, as well as black, white and peach when purchasing directly from Samsung.
By contrast, the Galaxy Z Fold6 is anticipated to arrive for €80-€100 more than the Galaxy Z Fold5. Specifically, @billbil_kun claims that the handset will start at €1,999 with 256 GB of storage before rising to €2,119 and €2,359 for 512 GB and 1 TB options, respectively. With that being said, the latter will only be orderable in multiple colours directly from Samsung. In comparison, third-party retailers will only offer the Galaxy Z Fold6 from July 10 with 1 TB of storage in a single blue colourway.
