Leaker claims that Xiaomi will surprise fans with MIX Fold 4 global release
Honor has now started its teaser campaign for its Magic V3 and Magic Vs3 foldables, which it will unveil on July 12 alongside the MagicPad 2 tablet and MagicBook 14 Art laptop. Incidentally, the pair's arrival will occur less than 48 hours after Samsung replaces the Galaxy Z Fold5 (curr. $1,399.99 on Amazon) with the Galaxy Z Fold6, whose full specification sheet leaked earlier today. While it is assumed that at least the Magic V3 will eventually receive a global release, it is unlikely to occur on July 12.
By contrast, recent Honor product launches suggest that the Magic Vs3 will remain a Chinese exclusive for its entire lifespan. Until now, Xiaomi's MIX Fold 4 was expected to be subject to the same fate. For context, although Xiaomi used to sell MIX series smartphones outside China, this has not been the case since the Mi MIX 3 at the end of the last decade.
As a result, Xiaomi's now foldable smartphone division has only been available to purchase from importers if you live outside China. According to the typically reliable Ice Universe, this will not be the case for the MIX Fold 4, whose design Evan Blass recently leaked on X (formerly Twitter). Allegedly, Xiaomi intends to offer the MIX Fold 4 globally, although it remains to be seen in what capacity. Unfortunately, it is unclear at this stage when the MIX Fold 4 will make its debut anywhere; please see our earlier article for rumoured device specifications.
