OnePlus Nord 4 leaks as future Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G rival before confirmed mid-July release
OnePlus now sells plenty of Nord-branded smartphones, including the Nord CE 3 Lite (curr. $298 on Amazon). Additionally, it seems that the company is preparing to release a new fourth-generation model, having already launched the Nord CE4 and Nord CE4 Lite. According to various sources, the device next in line will be the standard Nord 4, which should also be a more powerful alternative to the Nord CE4 and Nord CE4 Lite.
Officially, the company has only shared a 'summer launch event' invite, which includes the following text:
Some say it's impossible in the 5G era to make a smartphone with the strength, sophistication and enduring quality of metal. We say…Never Settle.
As one image below shows, OnePlus will host its next launch event on July 16, which it has scheduled for 13:00 UTC. Moreover, it included a fairly non-descript teaser image that contains a stylised version of the word 'Nord'. Added to that, a few leakers have provided what they describe as a first look at the Nord 4, which we have embedded below. Furthermore, Yogesh Brar has published a hands-on photo of the same device, which we have included above.
Currently, the Nord 4 is expected to arrive as a re-branded Ace 3V. Still exclusive to China, the Ace 3V combines a 1240p AMOLED display with a Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset and a 5,500 mAh battery. On top of that, the Ace 3V offers 100 W wired charging, UFS 4.0 flash storage and a 50 MP primary camera aided by optical image stabilisation (OIS). Please see our Ace 3V launch article for more hardware details.
