Xiaomi unveils design of the Redmi K70 Ultra, confirming 50 MP triple camera, flagship SoC and display specs
The Redmi K70 Ultra is set to be officially unveiled in July. Xiaomi has now published images (embedded below) on Chinese social network Weibo that show the premium mid-range smartphone in detail for the first time.
Accordingly, Xiaomi has opted for a modern design with a flat metal frame, a gigantic rectangular camera module with three lenses and a display that has 1.7 millimeter thin edges on three sides, with the bottom edge of the screen measuring 1.9 millimeters. The display appears to be a 144 Hz OLED panel, which should be ideal for gaming enthusiasts thanks to a sampling rate of 3,840 Hz. DC dimming up to a brightness of 60 nits is intended to prevent PWM flickering. The screen resolution is 1.5K.
Xiaomi also confirms that the smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+, a 4 nm flagship SoC with three ARM Cortex-X4 performance cores, one of which reaches clock frequencies of up to 3.4 GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores, which should achieve a higher performance per watt due to the lower clock rates of 2.0 GHz and thus function as particularly powerful efficiency cores. The improved cooling system is designed to reduce the temperature of the processor by 3 °C under load.
According to Xiaomi, the Redmi K70 Ultra achieves an impressive 2.38 million points in AnTuTu v10. The label on the rear triple camera shows that the main camera uses a 50 MP sensor. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed when the Redmi K70 Ultra will be officially unveiled, but the launch is expected in July. The smartphone is expected to be launched in Europe as the Xiaomi 14T Pro, with the device rumored to receive a few upgrades for the European market, including a telephoto camera, Leica branding and wireless charging.
