Redmi K70 Ultra tipped to launch as flagship Android smartphone containing up to five different chips
Xiaomi has finally gotten the Redmi K70 Ultra hype-train going by confirming that it will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ on its to-be-determined launch. The delivery of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-rivalling speed and performance will be all the premium SoC will have to do in the alleged 14T Pro equivalent, according to a new leak.
The eminent leaker Digital Chat Station asserts that the Ultra (also known as the K70 Extreme Edition) will be the latest Xiaomi flagship to come packed with custom co-processors. They include the Surge P2 from other flagships such as the Mix Fold 3 to keep the handset's fast (120W, allegedly) charging under control, joined by the lesser-known G1 "power management chip".
The Ultra's display might also get its own backup chip in the form of the D1, whereas the T1 might be touted to boost wireless connectivity in the upcoming flagship.
In other K70 Ultra news, Digital Chat Station asserts that it will rock up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage to go with its enlarged 5,500mAh battery, robust metal-framed build and potentially hyper-responsive 1.5K display.
