Shortly before OnePlus unveils its new tablet flagship at the summer launch event, information about the prices has leaked out - and they are higher than those of its predecessor.

While OnePlus is planning its launch event for this week, some information about the Chinese manufacturer's new flagship tablet has already been leaked. Now the leaker Yogesh Brar has announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he has received the Indian price details for the OnePlus Pad. According to the leaker, the tablet will cost 45,999 Indian rupees at launch price, which corresponds to around 550 US dollars.

If you compare the price with the first OnePlus Pad, which was launched in the US in May 2023 at a price of USD 480, this seems like a relatively high price. However, considering the features, most of which are already known, the price seems justified. This is because the OnePlus Pad 2 not only comes with more power, but also with a larger and higher-resolution display.

The OnePlus Pad 2 is said to be equipped with a 12.1-inch IPS display with 3,000 x 2,120 pixels, 900 nits and a frame rate of 144 hertz. OnePlus is also relying on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with 8 to 12 GB of RAM. The OnePlus Pad 2 therefore offers flagship performance at a comparatively affordable price. At 550 US dollars, it would still be cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (available on Amazon for $850).

The manufacturer is expected to reveal more detailed information on the price and features of the OnePlus Pad 2 on July 16 at 9 a.m. (EDT) as part of the Summer Launch Event. The mid-range smartphone OnePlus Nord 4, the OnePlus Watch 2R smartwatch and the OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro headphones will also be unveiled there.
