OnePlus Pad Pro: A 13-inch refresh of OnePlus's flagship tablet is said to be on the way
OnePlus debuted the OnePlus Pad Pro in China back in June as the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 tablet on the market. While one would expect the company to be working on a direct successor, it appears OnePlus is set to present a refresh first.
As revealed by Chinese outlet WhyLab, OnePlus is gearing up to launch a refresh of the OnePlus Pad Pro. This new tablet is, for all intents and purposes, just a larger variant of the standard OnePlus Pad Pro, as it's said to sport a 13-inch screen, versus the Pad Pro's 12.1-inch one.
Most other specifications can be expected to be the same as the Pad Pro. Ergo, a 144 Hz LCD, 240 Hz touch sampling rate, and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It's unknown if the larger display results in a battery larger than the 9510 mAh unit on the standard OnePlus Pad Pro, however.
That said, two notable changes can be expected. The display resolution is said to be upgraded from 3000x2120 to 3840x2400, for one, but peak brightness drops from 900 nits on the 12.1-inch Pad Pro to just 600 nits on the 13-inch model. Seeing as the OnePlus Pad Pro was rebadged as the OnePlus Pad 2 in international markets, it's likely that the 13-inch refresh gets a similar treatment.
