Hacker attack captures unannounced information from Disney projects
Disney recently suffered a data leak initiated by the hacker group "Nullbulge". A terabyte of sensitive data, including unpublished projects and internal information, was captured and made available for download on the hackers' website. The incident was first reported on July 13 by the Twitter user Pirat_Nation and confirmed by gaming journalist Tom Henderson on Insider Gaming.
According to Henderson, the data leak includes unpublished projects, raw images, code, logins and links to internal APIs and websites. Particularly explosive: there is speculation that sensitive data on Marvel projects, including movies and series for Disney Plus, could also be affected. Tom Henderson comments on the incident as follows:
It’s currently unknown to what extent the data has been compromised, but if true, we could soon see a flurry of unannounced projects come to light. However, following Nullbulge’s claim, their website has been knocked offline, meaning no one can download the data.
According to Henderson, Nullbulge's website has since been taken offline. However, if this is the case, it has since gone back online, meaning that the stolen information is still available for download. Only time will tell how much internal information from the data theft will leak. Disney has not yet commented on the incident.
Information on Alien Fireteams already leaked
As Insider Gaming reports information from an internal presentation for "Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2" was stolen as part of the hacker attack and has already been leaked to the public. The game is planned for the third quarter of 2025 and will feature 13 missions, around 12 hours of gameplay, nine enemy types, five DAGGER characters and 13 weapons. Microtransactions are not planned.
