Nomad has launched a new edition of its 65W GaN charger. The adapter features a wireless charger on the top. It is Apple MFi certified, and it can fast charge an Apple Watch. Besides that, not much has changed from the original Nomad 65W fast charger.
That means you still get a two-port design, which can offer a total of 65W of power output. When both ports are used, the top one can deliver a maximum of 45W, while the bottom port maxes out at 20W. The overall form factor is still travel-friendly. With a compact body and retractable prongs, it's comparatively smaller than the Apple 61W charging adapter.
While this Nomad 65W fast charger is mainly for Apple devices, the company says that it works with "most other USB-C" devices. As for the fast charging feature for Apple Watch models, it's only for the Series 7, Series 8, Series 9, Ultra, and Ultra 2. It also works with Apple AirPods. However, the company notes that the wireless pad isn't compatible with watches with loop-style bands and protective cases.
When it comes to the price, the new version of Nomad 65W with Apple MFi certification costs $100. It's only available in the Carbide colorway. If you're looking for something cheaper but without the wireless charging feature, check out the Anker Nano II 65W (curr. $39.99 on Amazon).
