New Anker Prime 14-in-1 Charging Docking Station could arrive soon
More details of an upcoming Anker 14-in-1 docking station have been revealed. Rumors about the accessory started in June, with new information recently appearing on Reddit from user u/joshuadwx. It seems that the accessory will be officially named the Anker Prime Charging Docking Station (14-in-1, Dual Display, 160W), with model number A83B6
As its name suggests, the new 14-in-1 docking station will have a 160W maximum output. According to the leaked information, the accessory offers a USB 3.2 Gen 2 upstream USB-C port for up to 100W output and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C ports with a 10 Gbps transfer rate. There are also expected to be two PowerIQ 3.0 USB-C ports for up to 100W power, a 10 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C port, two 480Mbps USB 2.0 USB-A ports and a 12W PowerIQ USB-A output. Two HDMI 2.0 ports are said to support dual displays at 4K@30Hz or a single monitor at 4K@60Hz.
The last two ports are Gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the dock is powered using a 180W GaN Ac-DC power supply. On top of this, the device is compatible with Anker DockManager, and a digital display shows information about charging speeds and data transfer and can warn of overheating. Rumors suggest that the Anker Prime Charging Docking Station (14-in-1, Dual Display, 160W) will launch in the US in the next month or so for $249.99. Whether or when it could launch in other markets remains to be seen.
