The Nintendo Joy-Con charging stand could have arrived sooner, but better late than never, right? The charger also works for Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) controllers.

Nintendo has announced an official charging stand for the Nintendo Switch's Joy-Con controllers. The charging stand arrives at a time when a successor to the Switch (OLED model is curr. $335 on Amazon) is on the horizon. Nevertheless, it is still a useful accessory.

The Joy-Con Charging Stand is a two-way accessory that can charge two Joy-Cons at the same time. It can also be used to charge NES controllers. As seen from the images posted by Nintendo, the charging stand can be used in a vertical position or can be laid flat without the vertical support. The charger itself has a USB-C port on top. Users should be able to use the Nintendo Switch's own power adapter or a third-party one to charge it.

Nintendo says it will be available on the 17th of October. Availability also seems to be only Europe and Japan for now as the Nintendo America X account didn't post about the accessory. Pricing in Europe is also unknown but it costs JPY 3,300 which is about €19.24 or $21.
