The latest Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14 Gen 9 is currently enjoying a deep discount of more than $300 straight from Lenovo. The SKU on sale packs an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS Hawk Point APU, an RTX 3050 laptop GPU, 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and 512 GB of storage.

Lenovo refreshed the Yoga Pro 7 14 Gen 8 at CES 2024 with the then-latest processors from Intel and AMD. Namely, the Yoga Pro 7 14 Gen 9 and the Yoga Pro 7i 14 Gen 9, the SKUs pack up to a Ryzen 7 8845HS APU or up to Core Ultra 9 185H Meteor Lake chip. The Gen 9 Yoga Pro 7 14 officially went on sale in North America in April at a starting price of $1,349.99.

Fortunately, three months after launch, you can now get the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 (14 AMD) for only $845 from Lenovo’s online store using the coupon codes LENOVOBUYMORE and YPRODEAL at checkout. The codes result in a combined discount of $330.76 on the $1,176 list price.

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14 Gen 9 on sale is packed with commendable hardware. In addition to the Ryzen 7 8845HS and the RTX 3050, the laptop also boasts a 14.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600, a 90 Hz refresh rate, 350 nits of brightness, and an advertised 100% sRGB coverage. There is also an FHD webcam on top of the panel complete with an IR sensor and an E-shutter.

Other notable specs include a large 73 Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E, and a good mix of ports including one USB 4 and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports.

Sadly, we haven’t been able to review the Yoga Pro 7 Gen 9 (14 AMD), so we can’t say anything for certain regarding the real-world performance of the machine. However, we have reviewed the Intel Meteor Lake-based Yoga Pro 7i 14 Gen 9. So, we can draw some important conclusions from the analysis.

For starters, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i 14 and, by extension, the Yoga Pro 7 14 feature a sturdy chassis with a modern design. The laptop also has good inputs with an excellent keyboard and a large trackpad.

When it comes to performance, our Yoga Pro 7i 14 performed admirably with the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H. Therefore, the model on sale with its Ryzen 7 8845HS should also perform quite well if not better than our review device since the Zen 4 Hawk Point APU is more capable than the Meteor Lake chip.

On the GPU side, the Yoga Pro 7 14 (AMD) with the RTX 3050 6GB should provide enough gaming performance for playing AAA games at FHD with moderate settings.

Moreover, thanks to the large 73 Wh battery, our Yoga Pro 7i review device lasted an excellent 11 hours in the Wi-Fi websurfing. We can expect similarly great runtimes from the Yoga Pro 7 14 Gen 9 on sale.

All in all, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 seems like a worthy multimedia laptop that should be a good fit for media watchers, light gamers, and productivity folks alike.
