The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7i and 7 14 (Gen 9) have been unveiled at CES 2024 with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 H series CPU for the 7i and the Ryzen 7 8845HS Hawk Point in the case of the Pro 7. Additionally, both the Yoga Pro 7i and 7 14 can be configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory and 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage.

Lenovo debuted the 14-inch Yoga Pro 7i and 7 devices last year with Intel Raptor Lake and up to AMD Zen 4 CPUs. For 2024, the company has updated the laptops with the latest chips from Intel and AMD alongside up to an RTX 4050 GPU while choosing to keep the same design as last year’s models.

For starters, the Gen 9 Yoga Pro 7i and 7 14 can be equipped with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 H series CPU or a Ryzen 7 8845HS. Both machines have an optional RTX 4050 in the highest-end SKUs providing solid entry to mid-range GPU performance for gaming and content creation. Talking about content creation, the Yoga Pro 7i and 7 (14, 9) are set to feature the same AI utilities, such as Yoga Creative Zone for AI image generation, as other Yoga Pro devices.

Around the front, the Gen 9 Yoga Pro 7i and 7 feature 14.5-inch screens that are available in a few different flavors. For the Yoga Pro 7i, users can choose up to a 2.8K OLED panel with 100% DCI-P3/sRGB coverage, 400 nits of brightness, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Yoga Pro 7 14 doesn’t have an OLED option and tops out at a 3K PureSight Pro display with 100% DCI-P3/sRGB coverage, 400 nits of brightness, and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

When it connectivity options, both Yoga Pro 7 14 devices maintain the selection of their predecessors with a single Thunderbolt 4 port (USB 4 for the AMD version), one Type-C port with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, one HDMI 2.1 output, one Type-A port, and an audio jack. Unfortunately, neither machine packs an SD card reader which was one of our few complaints about the excellent Yoga Pro 7 Gen 8.

Finally, both Yoga Pro 7 Gen 9 machines include a 73 Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.1, and four 2 W speakers that support Dolby Atmos.

The Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 14 Gen 9 will be available in the U.S. from April starting at $1,349.99. The Yoga Pro 7i won’t be coming to North America and will only be offered in the EMEA region.
