Last year’s Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 14 with a Raptor Lake Core i7-13705H CPU, an RTX 4050 GPU, 32 GB of RAM, and 1 TB of storage is now enjoying a respectable 16.7% discount at Best Buy. As a result, the laptop, which has a 4.6 consumer rating at Best Buy and an 90% score in our review, has become a mouth-watering option for folks in need of a portable multimedia champ.

The 14-inch Lenovo Slim Pro 9i, also called Yoga Pro 9i in Europe, is a portable laptop with a beautiful Mini LED display, a powerful Core i7-13705H CPU, and an RTX 4050 GPU. While the machine is an easy recommendation for people who want a travel-friendly device, the laptop is normally quite expensive owing to the quality of the hardware on offer. Thankfully, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i price has now seen a steep drop.

You can now get the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i for only $1,499.99 at Best Buy instead of the $1,799.99 list rate. The new price is a $350 discount and is an all-time low according to slickdeals.

So, what can you expect from the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 14? In short, almost everything that one might need from a portable laptop.

For starters, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i has a sturdy chassis with an understated look and a reassuring 1.7 kg weight. The chassis also incorporates a diverse port selection with one Thunderbolt 4, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and an HDMI 2.1, to name a few.

Around the front, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i features a 14.5-inch touch-capable Mini LED display with a 3072 x 1920 resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits of max brightness, and 100% AdobeRGB coverage. Our review device which packed the same display exhibited an excellent contrast ratio of 3526:1, 720 nits of max brightness in SDR mode (1,400 nits in HDR), and 96.7% coverage of the AdobeRGB gamut. Combined with low response times and a speedy refresh rate, the panel on the Slim Pro 9i is fit for both media consumption and gaming use.

Furthermore, thanks to a combination of the Core i7-13705H and the RTX 4050 laptop GPU, the Slim Pro 9i performance leaves little room for improvement in both CPU and GPU-demanding workloads. Our review unit delivered gaming performance better than its peers with the same board and managed to sustain it for longer sessions. For instance, we noted 67 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 and 53 FPS in Star Wars Jedi Survivor at FHD/ultra.

Sadly, the bright Mini LED panel with its high resolution negatively affects the battery life as the Slim Pro 9i only lasted for 4 hours and 48 minutes in our Wi-Fi websurfing test at full brightness. Dropping the brightness down to 150 nits boosted the battery life to 8 hours in the same test. So, if you are not pushing the laptop full tilt, the Slim Pro 9i should provide decent runtimes.
