The ThinkBook 14 i Gen 6+ is one of several new laptops that Lenovo has brought to CES 2024 in Las Vegas. Based around Intel's latest Core Ultra processors and 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, the ThinkBook 14 i Gen 6+ will be available with three display options and an 85 Wh battery, among other features.

Lenovo has introduced a new version of the ThinkBook 14, which has reached its sixth generation model. Specifically, Lenovo is calling the new model the ThinkBook 14 i Gen 6+ because of its underlying Intel processors. Unfortunately, the company has not provided many details about which processors will power the laptop though, other than a mention of 'latest Intel Core Ultra processors'.

Likewise, Lenovo remains quiet on the laptop's dimensions, weight and ports. However, it is willing to confirm that the ThinkBook 14 i Gen 6+ will be available with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD powered by an 85 Wh battery. Additionally, Lenovo will offer the following three display options, which will all measure 14.5-inches across:

  • IPS, 2.5K, 90 Hz, 350 nits
  • IPS, 3K, 120 Hz, 400 nits, Dolby Vision certified
  • OLED, 2.59K, 90 Hz

Moreover, the ThinkBook 14 i Gen 6+ will be compatible with the ThinkBook Graphics Extension (TGX), an eGPU that Lenovo describes as an 'intelligent graphics solution'. Although the company does not acknowledge as much, the TGX will utilise OCulink for up to 64Gbps data throughput rather than Thunderbolt 4. Details about the TGX remain unclear for now, with Lenovo merely remarking that it will support 'up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX desktop GPUs'.

The ThinkBook 14 i Gen 6+ and ThinkBook Graphics Extension will start at $2,199 as a bundle. At the time of writing, Lenovo hopes to begin selling the pair 'starting Q2 2024'. However, it has not shared a full release date yet or pricing and availability for other markets.
