Leaker announces next Epic Games Store free giveaway before official confirmation

Epic Games has only just updated its game of the week giveaway, full details of which we covered separately. Nonetheless, @billbil_kun once again beat the storefront to revealing its next free game, having done so last week, too. As always though, Epic Games confirmed its future plans shortly after @billbil_kun leaked them.

As the video below implies, the storefront's next free game will be F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch, a Metroidvania-inspired platformer that publisher Antiidelay released in late 2021. Incidentally, the game achieves its highest Metacritic rating on PC, 81/100, narrowly surpassing its PS5 counterpart (curr. $41.95 - used on Amazon).

Please note that both the Epic Games Store and Steam currently charge $29.99 for F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch. Also, there is no indication that Steam will be including the game in any sales within the next week or so.
