Sonic X Shadow Generations download size revealed for Nintendo Switch via official listing

Building on the success of its predecessor, Sonic Generations ($39 on Amazon), Sega is set to release Sonic X Shadow Generations on October 25th, 2024. A title that has been highly awaited for a while now, Sega is expanding on the original game's formula by introducing a dedicated Shadow the Hedgehog campaign.

Initial information about the game surfaced months ago, with recent leaks confirming the release date and revealing the game's file size. Pre-orders for both standard and digital deluxe editions are now open on the official Nintendo website, offering fans a $49.99 standard version of the game, or a $59.99 deluxe edition.

Sonic Generations, first released in 2011, celebrated the franchise's 20th anniversary by combining classic 2D and modern 3D gameplay styles. Sonic x Shadow Generations also includes a complete remaster of its predecessor, with upgraded visuals and new bonus content. Gamers can play as Shadow in a brand-new story campaign featuring never-before-seen abilities. There will be a lot of iconic stages from Shadow's history, and players can unlock new powers to take on the game's antagonist, Black Doom. Those interested will have to wait nearly three months for the official game release.
