Nintendo to unveil new Switch OLED bundle with Super Mario Bros. Wonder and more

Nintendo has a history of releasing themed bundles to promote its games, often pairing a popular title with its consoles. In the past, the company launched bundles like the Switch + Animal Crossing: New Horizons edition (currently $359 on Amazon). The Pokémon Sword and Shield bundle came with a special edition Switch Lite, while the Nintendo Switch OLED - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition is also available for $359 on Amazon. These bundles usually focus on beloved game franchises.

It seems like Nintendo isn’t moving away from its marketing push for the Switch OLED just yet, despite the latest leaks surrounding the upcoming Switch 2. A new Nintendo Switch OLED pack, bundled with the popular Super Mario Bros. Wonder game ($54.23 on Amazon), is set to be released soon in Europe, including France. The pack includes a white Nintendo Switch OLED console, a download code for Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and a 3-month subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online service.

With this pack, Nintendo seems to be sticking to its formula of combining flagship titles with hardware. However, unlike past bundles that often featured custom console designs, this time the Switch OLED will reportedly remain unchanged in appearance. Only the packaging will reflect the latest Mario game.

These themed bundles have often been well-received, as they offer value to both new and existing customers. Historically, such bundles tend to sell out quickly, especially when they feature games from major franchises. Nintendo seems to be continuing this trend with the Super Mario-themed pack. 

This bundle will be available across Europe and France, with a retail price of €349/$387. While a similar pack is expected for North America, details on whether it will be the same are still unclear. The European version is anticipated to launch by mid-October, with potential release dates pointing to either September 23 or October 3, 2024, as reported by the source.
