Analogue has once again refreshed the Pocket, roughly two months after it updated the device with aluminium options. Unfortunately, it seems that the company remains content with releasing limited-run versions of a device that it announced almost five years ago rather than actually presenting anything new. To that end, Analogue has not disclosed anything about the 3D since the publication of the device's first teaser in October 2023.
This time, Analogue has leaned even harder into the Game Boy Color aesthetic. Specifically, six 'GBC Colors Limited Edition' will be available, which Analogue describes as Berry, Dandelion, Gold, Grape, Kiwi and Teal. Please note that these relate to red, orange, gold, purple, green and blue colours, respectively.
Analogue's latest Pocket refresh will retail for $249.99 when it goes on sale tomorrow at 15:00 UTC. As usual, the GBC Colors Limited Edition models will be sold via Analogue's online shop. Unfortunately, Analogue has not confirmed how many units of each colour option it plans to sell. Incidentally, the company will also restock the standard black and white variants simultaneously, which retail for a slightly more reasonable $219.99.
