TrimUI teases new vertical retro gaming handheld following TrimUI Smart Pro success
TrimUI is best known for the Smart Pro (curr. $94.99 on Amazon), which it has been selling since late last year. However, it has now confirmed that it has a new model in development that takes on a completely different form factor from the Smart Pro. Specifically, while the Smart Pro leans on the PlayStation Portable's aesthetic, the Brick more closely resembles the Game Boy Color.
By extension, this also means that the TrimUI Brick looks like the Analogue Pocket. Incidentally, Analogue recently refreshed its popular gaming handheld with a new set of Game Boy Color-inspired colourways. With that being said, the TrimUI Brick does not rely upon a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip like the Analogue Pocket.

Instead, TrimUI has confirmed the inclusion of the Allwinner A133P, a budget chipset that features a PowerVR GE8300 GPU and is complemented by 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. As such, the Brick should be relatively cheap whenever it arrives. Added to that, TrimUI has equipped the device with a 3.2-inch display that resolves at 1,024 x 768 pixels and sits within a 109.9 x 73.2 x 19.9 mm housing that weighs about 159 g.
Moreover, the TrimUI Brick will support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, a 3,000 mAh battery, two USB Type-C ports and 8 GB of expandable storage. Furthermore, the device is said to feature a rumble motor, a 3.5 mm jack and a standard set of gamepad buttons. While a release date is unknown for now, it seems as though TrimUI plans to sell the Brick in multiple colour options.
