Nintendo has opened pre-orders for the latest version of the Switch Lite (curr. $189.99 on Amazon). However, the device is not available to order globally just yet. To recap, the company presented the Switch Lite Hyrule Edition almost two weeks ago during its most recent Nintendo Direct event.
As always, Nintendo shared footage of dozens of upcoming games, including Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom to name but a few. While some of those games will not be ready until early 2025, Nintendo has created the Switch Lite Hyrule Edition to commemorate the release of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom on September 26. For some reason, it decided against confirming how much the special edition console would cost.
That remains the case on Nintendo's dedicated microsite, where one can only register their interest to purchase the console. Nonetheless, various UK retailers are now selling the console for £209.99, except HMV, which has priced it at £219.99. Thus, the Switch Lite Hyrule Edition is marginally more expensive than its regular counterpart, potentially in part because of its 12-month Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Unfortunately, we cannot find equivalent listings for other markets yet.
