ZPG A1 Unicorn: Restock seemingly with new colours planned for Anbernic RG Cube rival
The ZPG A1 Unicorn has been a long time coming, having been originally announced in November 2023 as an alternative to the Powkiddy RGB30 (curr. $123.89 on Amazon). Since then, Anbernic has released the comparable RG Cube, which it followed up with the similar-looking RG40XX H. While the RGB30 and RG Cube are easy to obtain, the same is not the case for the ZPG A1 Unicorn.
Instead, it appears that Z-Pocket Game only briefly sold the device on AliExpress for $129.99 before de-listing the gaming handheld. Even then, it was only ever available in one SKU that featured 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and a white/brown colour scheme. However, it seems that the company is planning to restock the ZPG A1 Unicorn.
Officially, the company has not confirmed as much yet. Nonetheless, it appears to have started mass-producing new colour options, evidence of which we have embedded below. As such, we imagine that the ZPG A1 Unicorn will be available again soon, although it remains to be seen when at this stage. Please see Retro Handhelds' review below for more details about Z-Pocket Games' Helio G99-powered gaming handheld and how it compares against the Anbernic RG Cube.
