Various sources have confirmed that Powkiddy has a new version of the RGB10 Max 3 Pro in the works. Allegedly arriving as the RGB10 Max 4, Powkiddy is expected to distinguish the new gaming handheld from its predecessor by including more RAM, a larger battery capacity and a more powerful chipset.

Only a few days have passed since Retro Handhelds provided an initial look at the Powkiddy RGB20 Pro. In summary, the RGB20 Pro would expand the RGB20 series to three devices, with the RGB20S and RGB20SX (curr. $129.99 on Amazon) having been released in May 2022 and April 2024, respectively. However, it seems that Powkiddy has more than just the RGB20 Pro in development.

Specifically, specifications and pictures of the RGB10 Max 4 have leaked online, evidence of which we have reproduced below. While their exact origin is unknown, Retro Handhelds claims that they have been verified by a person familiar with Powkiddy's current projects. In short, the RGB10 Max 4 is something of an upgraded RGB10 Max 3 Pro, which debuted just over a year ago.

Although the RGB10 Max 4's name would suggest otherwise, it will re-use the RGB10 Max 3 Pro's shell. As the images below show, the former will retain the latter's button layout, too. Likewise, the RGB10 Max 4 is expected to arrive with a 5-inch IPS display. Supposedly, its resolution will jump from 854 x 480 pixels to 1,280 x 720 pixels, though.

Moreover, the Amlogic A311D SoC and 2 GB of LPDDR4X RAM that power the RGB10 Max 3 Pro will be swapped out for a Rockchip RK3588S and 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Furthermore, the RGB10 Max 4 will also feature a 25% larger battery capacity rated at 5,000 mAh. Unfortunately, neither a release date nor launch pricing are known yet.
