Powkiddy RGB20SX released for $69.99 as new retro gaming handheld with 1:1 display capable of emulating Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS and PlayStation 1 games

Powkiddy has offered up a new gaming handheld following the introduction of the RGB10 Max 3 (curr. $109.99 on Amazon) earlier this year. This time, the company has released the RGB20SX, a highlight of which is its 4-inch, 720 x 720-pixel and 1:1 aspect ratio display. In other words, the RGB20SX appears to feature the same display as the RGB30 that arrived in August 2023.

Additionally, Powkiddy has equipped the RGB20SX with a Rockchip RK3566 chipset that should prove powerful enough to emulate most Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS and PlayStation 1 games. For reference, the Rockchip RK3566 is a 2 nm chipset with four ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2 GHz and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. Moreover, the RGB20SX features 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, a 5,000 mAh battery and a 1 W speaker, plus Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The RG20SX currently starts at $89.99 in Transparent Black, Transparent Blue, Transparent White and Yellow finishes with a 16 GB microSD card. However, Powkiddy is running a coupon code, RGB20SXGOOD, that reduces the gaming handheld to $69.99. Please note that while this is a limited code, it still worked at the time of publication. Alternatively, Powkiddy offers the device with 16 GB + 32 GB, 16 GB + 64 GB, 16 GB + 128 GB MicroSD cards for $94.99, $99.99 and $109.99, respectively, before factoring in the official $20 coupon code.
