New Lenovo Legion Go to 'provide even more features' than existing gaming handheld
A month has passed since Windows Report shared details of numerous first-party skins that Lenovo allegedly planned to release for the Legion Go. Unfortunately, the company has not officially commented on these skins yet. However, its APAC Gaming Category Manager has commented on the state of a Legion Go successor.
Mentioned during Lenovo Innovate 24 in Bangkok, Clifford Chong claimed that the gaming handhelds is:
a product category that we do see potential in and we continue to invest and we are looking towards when the time comes right of course having the next generation to provide even more features.
Additionally, the Gaming Category Manager added that Lenovo remains committed to 'spending a lot of resources improving on the current Legion Go...and there are still engineering efforts to try to bring the next wave of features to the product. It remains to be seen what improvements Lenovo has in mind for its first gaming handheld, though.
Likewise, Chong did not reveal how Lenovo would distinguish Legion Go 2 from its predecessor. Presumably, the Legion Go 2 will be designed to challenge the likes of the ROG Ally 2, which ASUS India's Vice President has already confirmed is in development. With that being said, ASUS has not revealed any details about a second-generation ROG Ally yet, other than it will be arriving later this year.
