Previously teased AOKZOE A2 Ultra gaming handheld has officially made its debut in China. As the company has previously revealed, the portable Windows console is powered by an Intel Meteor Lake CPU. To be specific, it packs the Core Ultra 7 155H, which is the same processor that the maxed-out MSI Claw features.

AOKZOE officially introduced the A2 Ultra at the Intel Extreme Masters Chengdu 2024 event. As previously revealed by the brand, the gaming handheld packs a high-end processor from the Intel Meteor Lake line. But with this unveiling, we got to know the exact CPU, which happens to be the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H.

This is the same processor you will find in the top-end variant of the recently launched MSI Claw handheld gaming PC. But, as disappointing as it sounds, even with this top-end mobile chip, the AOKZOE A2 Ultra doesn’t stand as a better performer than some of the other popular gaming handhelds, such as Asus ROG Ally with Z1 Extreme or Lenovo Legion Go.

While Intel did make an advancement on the iGPU side with its Meteor Lake processors, the already available MSI Claw with Core Ultra 7 155H struggles against the Z1 Extreme found in ROG Ally. A recent benchmark comparison video between the two gaming handhelds is attached at the end for you to check out.

Worth mentioning that the top-end ROG Ally (curr. $599.99 on Best Buy) is even cheaper than the maxed out MSI Claw. So, it’s not like the Intel gaming handheld has an upper hand in terms of value. Speaking of which, AOKZOE hasn’t said anything about the pricing of the A2 Ultra yet. But it did reveal all the core specs of the handheld gaming PC.

The AOKZOE A2 Ultra sports a 7-inch screen with 1920x1200 pixels resolution and can be equipped with up to 64 GB of LPPDR5X RAM running at 7467 MHz. As for storage, there’s a PCIe 4.0 slot for SSD, and to keep the CPU cool, the gaming handheld has an active cooling fan.

Besides that, the new AOKZOE handheld gaming PC runs Windows 11, has Bluetooth 5.4 and WiFi 7 for stable wireless connectivity, and weighs 666 grams. It also has Hall Effect analog triggers with circular RGB lights. Battery-wise, the A2 Ultra packs a 12600 mAh cell, which promises to offer 3 hours of non-stop runtime. All this makes it sound good, but whether it will be a better pick than the MSI Claw will depend on the price.
