Deal | Limited-time Lenovo Legion Slim 5 price cut makes RTX 4060-powered laptop a mouth-watering value
The Lenovo Legion Slim 5 (2023) can now be yours for only $849.99 as Best Buy has put the laptop on sale for a limited time. The latest price cut is $50 lower than the deal we posted last month and has brought the notebook to its lowest price in 120 days according to Honey. Specs-wise, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 on sale is powered by a 6-core Ryzen 5 7640HS CPU coupled with an RTX 4060 laptop GPU and 16 GB of RAM. The laptop also features a 16-inch 1200p IPS panel with 60% sRGB coverage, a 144 Hz refresh rate, NVIDIA G-SYNC/AMD FreeSync, and 300 nits of brightness. Although we’d have liked to see a brighter panel with full sRGB coverage, the notebook’s low price justifies the display especially since it is pretty speedy at 144 Hz.
Talking about speed, the combination of the Ryzen 5 7640HS and the RTX 4060 laptop GPU running at 100 W should provide plenty of performance. For instance, our Legion Slim 5 review model which was configured a little differently showcased strong FHD gaming prowess by running titles like Cyberpunk 2077 1.6 at 84 FPS at FHD/Ultra. Lighter titles like Dota 2 Reborn should be able to take full advantage of the fast panel.
Our Legion Slim 5 review unit also exhibited good thermals and decent battery life.
All in all, the Lenovo Legion Slim 5 is an excellent mid-range gaming machine and the latest discounted price makes it an even better deal.
