Anbernic has now released the RG35XX 2024, less than 24 hours after we reported that the company was preparing to release the device. As expected, Anbernic has created the RG35XX 2024 by combining the hardware of the RG35XX and RG35XX Plus. Hence, the new model features the following components, regardless of colour and memory configuration:
- 3.5-inch IPS display, 640 x 480 pixels
- Allwinner H700 SoC (4x ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores/Mali G31 MP2 GPU)
- 1 GB LPDDR4 RAM
- 2,600 mAh battery
Additionally, Anbernic includes mini HDMI and USB Type-C ports, as well as a pair of microSD card slots, all within a 117 x 81 mm x 22 mm and 186 g housing. However, the gaming handheld lacks any Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity to speak of. As such, the RG35XX 2024 would be unsuitable for multiplayer games or use wireless display projection.
Currently, the RG35XX 2024 is available through AliExpress or Anbernic directly. At the time of writing, the gaming handheld sells for $61.99 on the former and $49.99 on the latter with a 64 GB microSD card in black, grey, purple or white finishes. Alternatively, Anbernic offers the RG35XX 2024 with a second 128 GB microSD card for $64.99 itself or for $76.99 on AliExpress.
