Apple Watch Ultra 3 rumour suggests 2025 release alongside Watch SE 2 and smartwatch overhaul ↺
In the initial lead-up to this week's Apple event, where the tech giant announced a slew of updates — however minor — to its products, rumours suggested that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 would launch at the September Apple event. However, closer to the event, it became clear that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 would not be ready for launch.
Now, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has predicted in a post on X that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will launch in 2025 alongside an updated version of the Apple Watch SE 2 (curr. $189.30 on Amazon). Previously, there was speculation that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 would feature a drastic redesign, although those seem to have been dashed by subsequent leaks.
Although not much is known about the Apple Watch Ultra 3, the new watch is expected to be another minor refresh of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 — much like the Watch Ultra 2 was to the Watch Ultra 1. At the very least, we can expect to see the new Apple S10 SiP from the Apple Watch Series 10. It may also share the slimmer design and narrower bezels that the Watch Series 10 also debuted at Apple's Glowtime event.
All indications do suggest that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will at least keep the titanium shell of the Ultra 2, which is likely a contributing factor for many who purchase the Watch Ultra in the first place.
