Huawei is not quite ready to sell the Watch GT 5 just yet. Nonetheless, unboxing footage showing the new smartwatch has been posted online that reveals various design elements and its rumoured OLED display.

Huawei is due to release the Watch GT 5 in a few day's time. To that end, official-looking render images of the smartwatch have already leaked online. Now, unboxing footage has emerged of the Watch GT 5 in one of its launch colours.

While we have been unable to embed the video in question, we have included several stills that show the Watch GT 5 from multiple angles. On the one hand, the unboxing footage confirms earlier leaks about the design of Huawei's next Watch GT smartwatches. Ultimately though, the Watch GT 5 carries over the classic wristwatch design of its predecessor (curr. $250 on Amazon).

With that being said, Huawei is expected to utilise the Watch GT 5 series to showcase its new TruSense sensor. For context, the company has provided a few details about its latest health monitoring system a few weeks ago. On the other hand, the same video suggests that the Watch GT 5 series will be available in 41/42 mm and 46 mm sizes and could run HarmonyOS Next. Huawei will officially announce the Watch GT 5 series and potentially other devices on September 19 in China.
