Huawei Watch GT 5 revealed early by retailer leak with long battery life and new Huawei TruSense sensor
Huawei is set to release the Watch GT 5 soon as a replacement for the existing Watch GT 4 (curr. $224 on Amazon). Until now, it had been assumed that Huawei intended to introduce its new smartwatch in China before other markets. However, a new UK-based retailer leak suggests that the Watch GT 5 may be available globally later this week too
Specifically, Currys listed the smartwatch on its business and consumer websites in two finishes. While both 46 mm variants, it seems that Huawei will sell a black edition with a matching fluoroelastomer for £20 (~$26) less than its silver sibling that has a braided nylon strap. Either way, £229.99 (~$303) and £249.99 (~$329) launch prices would make the Watch GT 5 more expensive than its predecessor in equivalent finishes.
Added to that, Currys has confirmed that Huawei's new TruSense sensor will receive a global release. With that being said, the retailer has not mentioned the sensor as being capable of taking an ECG or monitoring blood pressure levels, which Huawei showcased late last month.
