Xiaomi’s cheaper Robot Vacuum S20 now available in Europe
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S20 has launched in Europe. The new model appeared on the brand’s global website in June and is now available to purchase in various countries across the EU and the UK.
Xiaomi suggests that its new model is particularly compact, measuring 325 mm (~12.8 inches) across. The vacuum delivers up to 5,000Pa suction power with three cleaning modes on offer. Using an LDS laser for navigation and sensors for obstacle avoidance, the robot moves around your home in zigzag or Y-shaped patterns for vacuuming or mopping. Plus, inside the robot are a 400ml dustbin and 270ml water tank which the company suggests avoids frequent emptying or refilling.
You can remotely control the vacuum through the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app, scheduling future cleaning and pushing OTA updates to the smart home device. Alternatively, you can use Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa voice commands to start the vacuum. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S20 retails for £129.99/€169.99, making it relatively cheap. Customers can choose between black and white models, and purchase directly from the company or via Amazon.
