With a lethal four inch long ten pound steel drum rotating at a staggering speed, Yahoo had a pretty clean run during the round six qualifiers. The first opponent, Synthesis 30, had the belt for its front-facing vertical spinner ripped out by Yahoo in the first few seconds of the match, resulting in a knockout. Next, after a lengthy three-minute battle full of sparks and stalls, the judges award Yahoo's victory against Red Storm. The victories continue with Yahoo performing a successful KO after pinning competitor Hyperpolarized and blocking attempts to unstick the bot. However, the streak doesn't last; competitor Warhard XXL brutally throws Yahoo into the air after connecting with its front-facing vertical spinner. Warhard then rips out the back part of Yahoo's frame with its spinner, resulting in a knockout.
Nevertheless, Yahoo has placed first in the NHRL round six qualifiers. The Cosmos Team veteran, who has been fighting since 2020, battled against four competitors during the mid-September NHRL livestream. Despite being scheduled for six fights, two of the competitors decided to limit the damage inflicted on their bots by taking a forfeit instead. One such competitor is MegatRON, the current number two, who caught on fire during a battle with competitor Hurricane.
For those unfamiliar with the NHRL, it is currently the largest and most accessible robot combat organizer. They offer a variety of weight classes to compete in and host an annual tournament, attracting people from around the US.
