Roborock G20S Ultra: New slim flagship robot vacuum arrives
Robrock has launched a pre-sale event for the G20S Ultra robot vacuum and mop in China. This new flagship model follows the recently revealed G20S, with various upgrades for the robot and docking station.
The G20S Ultra is slim, measuring just 7.98 cm (~3.1 inches) tall. That makes it shorter than the new Qrevo Slim robot vacuum, which is 8.2 cm (~3.2 inches) tall, and the G20S, which measures 10.3 cm (~4.1 inches). The Ultra uses the StarSight 2.0 autonomous navigation system rather than LiDAR technology. The robot vacuum also shares similarities with the recently released Qrevo Curv, like 18,500 Pa suction power, the DuoDivide Main Brush for improved hair processing and the AdaptiLift Chassis to climb over higher thresholds; none of these features are included in the standard G20S. Plus, there is an improvement for the G20S Ultra’s self-cleaning docking station, with the ability to sterilize with 80°C (~176°F) rather than 60°C (~140°F) hot water.
The standard Roborock G20S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is available to pre-order in China at a discounted price of 4,999 yuan (~$705). The product will return to its suggested RRP of 6,999 CNY (~$987) when this pre-sale event ends on September 19th. It is unclear whether or when the new model could reach other markets like North America or Europe.
