Eufy Omni C20: Hybrid robot vacuum and mop with iPath laser navigation leaked as Roomba alternative

Anker's sub-brand, Eufy, appears to be gearing up for the release of its new Robot Vacuum Omni C20, which combines vacuuming and mopping into a single hybrid unit. Leaked details indicate that this model will come equipped with 'iPath laser navigation', allowing precise room mapping and the creation of no-go and no-mop zones. While reports suggest that it lacks a protruding LIDAR sensor, it still offers the full mapping functionality that makes it suitable for cleaning under low furniture, the report states.

Key features of the Omni C20 include the company's 'BoostIQ' technology for adaptive suction power and 'MopMaster', designed to handle tough floor cleaning tasks. The vacuum boasts a 3,200mAh battery, which should provide decent coverage in a single charge. It also offers an Auto Cleaning System with a 2.5L clean water tank, a 2.4L dirty water tank, and a 3.1L dust bag for efficient maintenance.

This new model looks like a probable successor to the X10 Pro Omni (currently $799 on Amazon). Expected to be priced between $500 and $900, the Omni C20 competes directly with mid-range Roomba models but adds mopping functionality, making it a more versatile option. Roombas, like the i7+ ($749 on Amazon right now) and s9+ (currently $1,249 on Amazon), are known for their strong suction and smart navigation, but the C20’s hybrid features and competitive pricing could be better suited to users looking for an all-in-one solution at a lower cost.

The Omni C20 will likely be available around September or October if the report is to be believed. With time, hybrid vacuum systems should become more common as compared to conventional ones, thanks to their ability to handle multiple cleaning tasks in one device.
