Alienware's new Pro Headset is a premium wireless gaming headset with graphene-coated drivers and active noise-cancellation. At 315 grams, the headset is lighter than many of its competitors, with a commendable set of features promising a great gaming and audio experience.

Alienware, the fabled gaming arm of Dell, has announced a new entrant to its expanding lineup of gaming peripherals - the Alienware Pro headset. armed with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Aimed primarily at e-sports aficionados, this headset aims to deliver great sound quality with equally great comfort for long gaming sessions, courtesy of its soft memory foam cushions and lightweight design, coming in at just 315 grams.

According to Alienware, the new Pro headset is the brainchild of the company's collaboration with over 100 professional e-sports players, including pro athletes as well as streamers. The product houses 50mm graphene-coated drivers - which is slowly becoming the norm in the gaming headset space, allowing for precise directional audio. Active noise-cancellation support is included, in both feedback and feedforward varieties. For those not willing to use ANC, Alienware claims decent passive noise cancellation, as well as a transparency mode.

The Alienware Pro headset also boasts dual mics for audio input, along with support for a deep learning-powered noise cancellation feature that blocks out non-verbal inputs. Battery life is impressive, with up to 75 hours in Bluetooth mode with ANC off, and up to 35 hours in the low-latency 2.4 Ghz mode with ANC on, and 70 hours with ANC off. The headset also supports high-res audio playback via USB-C, and sports a customizable EQ that is adjustable through the Alienware Command Center.

Alineware's Pro headset looks great on paper, with little room for complaint. However, the product's real-life performance can only be established with independent testing. The headset will launch in October of this year in North America, and will command a price tag of $229.99.
