Xiaomi launched the Redmi K70, K70 Pro, and K70E in China last month. Those phones will likely hit the international market in the coming months bearing badges from other Xiaomi sub-brands like Poco and Redmi, but the company also has plans to release a line-leading Redmi K70 series phone in China soon.
As revealed by reliable leaker Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is already preparing the Redmi K70 Ultra for launch. That's a bit surprising, as the Redmi K60 Ultra launched a short while ago, in August, while the Redmi K60 and K60 Pro debuted at the start of the year. As such, one would expect the Redmi K70 Pro to debut sometime in the middle of 2024.
Either way, the Redmi K70 Ultra—or the Redmi K70 Extreme Edition, as it will likely be officially branded—is tipped to be powered by MediaTek's new Dimensity 9300. That chipset, of course, performs on a similar level as Qualcomm's latest flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. In addition to the Dimensity 9300, the Redmi K70 Ultra is said to sport a 1.5K or 2K 8T OLED screen.
