Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 vs Dimensity 9300: Vivo X100 edges out the OnePlus 12 in AnTuTu's latest performance chart

Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and MediaTek's Dimensity 9300 are expected to be the two major flagship chipsets for the year in the Android space. Both chipsets appear to deliver similar performance, but AnTuTu's latest performance indicates a slight advantage for the Dimensity 9300 in the new Vivo X100 when pitted against the OnePlus 12 and its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

At face value, the reverse seems to be the case, as the OnePlus 12 sits in first position, with a total score of 2,188,135. The Vivo X100 comes in second with a score of 2,186,019. A closer look at the numbers shows that the Dimensity 9300 outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, however, with the MediaTek chipset scoring higher in the CPU and GPU tests.

The Vivo X100 and its Dimensity 9300 records a CPU score of 515,745, while the OnePlus 12 sits at 493,187, translating into around a 5% CPU advantage for the MediaTek chipset. The gap is smaller in the GPU department, though, with the Vivo X100 scoring 899,989, versus the OnePlus 12's 887,620. That said, though, other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered devices like the iQOO 12 duo slightly outperform the Vivo X100 in the GPU category.

Evidently, the Dimensity 9300 edges out the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in both the CPU and GPU tests. The OnePlus 12 having the higher AnTuTu total score is entirely down to it having better memory, with the listed 24 GB of RAM earning it a higher score in the memory test than the Vivo X100's 16 GB of RAM.
