Fantastic Asus ROG Phone 8 Pro benchmark numbers officially revealed as launch nears
Asus has long confirmed its plans to release the ROG Phone 8 series on January 16 in China. The company has also begun teasing details of the gaming smartphones, with its most recent teaser revealing the ROG Phone 8 Pro's performance credentials.
As shared on the official ROG Gaming Phone Weibo page, the ROG Phone 8 Pro delivers a stunning score of 2,359,969 on AnTuTu. That, for example, easily blows past the highest ranked device on AnTuTu's current leaderboard, the OnePlus 12 which scores 2,188,135.
The post also reveals the ROG Phone 8 Pro's Geekbench performance, with the gaming phone recording a single-core test score of 7422. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has a median score of 7188 on our database, and it's not surprising to see the ROG Phone 8 Pro easily surpass that as well, considering it's a gaming device and previous entries in the series have typically offered some of the best performance numbers among Android devices of their generation.
