Unboxing and teardown videos of the Redmi K70 Pro have already surfaced online. Surprisingly, Xiaomi's latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered handset is comparatively repairable, although it does not fully utilise its bundled 120 W power adapter, nor can it reach 4,000 nits in most display tests.

The Redmi K70 Pro is only a few days old. Regardless, the likes of Gizmochina and Weki Home have published initial videos about Xiaomi's latest 'flagship killer'. For context, the Redmi K70 Pro is Xiaomi's third smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 after the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. Additionally, the Redmi K70 Pro packs a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that delivers 4,000 nits peak brightness, a large battery that supports 120 W wired charging and a pair of 50 MP cameras, among other hardware.

Based on Gizmochina's video, Xiaomi ships the Redmi K70 Pro in a relatively simple black box dominated by 'K70' branding. Like many recent Xiaomi handsets, the Redmi K70 Pro comes with a first-party silicone case, a power adapter and a matching USB Type-A to Type-C cable. Moreover, the 120 W power adapter is joined by a few ancillaries like a SIM tool and warranty documentation.

Separately, Weki Home has already disassembled Xiaomi's new flagship Redmi handset, which appears to be relatively modular in its construction. With its glass back panel removed, it turns out that the Redmi K70 Pro's rear-facing cameras can be replaced individually, unlike many of its peers. Similarly, Xiaomi has included a large adhesive tab for removing the device's battery.

However, Weki Home demonstrated that the Redmi K70 Pro hardly ever charges at 120 W. Instead, their unit draws between 60 W and 80 W from its official power adapter most of the time. Nonetheless, the Redmi K70 Pro still reaches a full charge from flat in a mere 19 minutes. Likewise, the new display reaches 4,000 nits across a few pixels, with 3,000 nits for a larger window and about 1,000 nits full panel brightness. Reportedly, the Redmi K70 Pro will eventually launch globally as the POCO F6 Pro, but not until next year.
