OnePlus is known to unveil new color variants for some of its phones, and the OnePlus 12R is the latest to get this treatment. Not only is the new color familiar, but it may also be exclusive to a certain region.

When the OnePlus 12 (available on Amazon for $800) was announced globally, it came along with a more affordable version dubbed the OnePlus 12R. Starting at $500, the OnePlus 12R offers a lot of premium features such as a 120Hz LTPO4 AMOLED panel, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, and a 5,500mAh battery that charges at 100W.

The OnePlus 12R was originally available in Iron Gray and Cool Blue, but in February OnePlus unveiled a Genshin Impact Edition with a purple finish. Now, it has teased the arrival of a fourth color.

A post on X by the official OnePlus India account teases the arrival of a new color option called Sunset Dune. While the teaser image partially shows the camera housing, those who wish to know what the new color looks like in its entirety only have to look at the China-exclusive OnePlus Ace 3 which is available in a similar colorway.

OnePlus has not revealed when the new Sunset Dune color variant will be released, but seeing as it has a launch event scheduled for July 16 where it intends to unveil a handful of new products, then it won't be farfetched to expect the launch to be the same date.

Sadly, it seems the OnePlus 12R Sand Dune color will likely be exclusive to India just like the Genshin Impact special edition, as no other OnePlus regional account has teased the new color variant.
