New Nothing CMF Phone 1 photo shows a customisable and functional back cover

The CMF Phone 1 is less than a week away, and the teasers keep pouring in as the launch date draws closer. The latest is an image that shows the back of the phone in full for the very first time, and it reveals a handful of interesting details.

The new image which was posted by the brand's official X account shows the CMF Phone 1 will be available in three colors - Black/Gray, Blue, and the CMF by Nothing signature Orange. However, all three color variants in the image are quite distinct. The black variant is shown to have a lanyard attached to the orange dial at the bottom right corner while the blue variant has a kickstand where the dial is. The orange variant is a lot more different from the other two as the dial has a plus sign engraving. It also has a protruding attachment that appears to be a cardholder in the same orange color as the phone.

The photo also shows a small accessory that doubles as both a SIM ejector tool and a small screwdriver. Images have already shown screws on the back of the CMF Phone 1 while a leak revealed that Nothing will sell replaceable shells for the phone. With this image, it can be deduced that owners will need the miniature screwdriver when they need to swap the shell.

Nothing is going for a functional and stylish approach with the CMF Phone 1 as can be seen from the caption and image. This makes sense considering the Glyph Interface of the Nothing Phone 2a isn’t carried over to the CMF Phone 1. Nevertheless, the upcoming phone is quite interesting and will stand out from the plethora of phones on the market.

The CMF Phone 1 will be unveiled on July 8, 2024 at 10:00 BST. It is expected to pack a 6.7-inch FHD+ panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, 8GB of RAM, dual rear cameras with a 50 MP main sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery.
