Carl Pei leaks Nothing OS 3.0 lock screen customization, teases interactive dot animation feature of the operating system
Nothing OS 3.0 is on the way, and out of excitement, Carl Pei revealed two interesting features that are coming with the new operating system. First is the lock screen customization, which, according to the slide leaked by the CEO of Nothing, will offer three options.
Among the three options, the default one shows the time, date, and day. The second option adds three more widgets on the lock screen but shows the time in dots. As for the last option, it offers an "expanded widget area" and shows an analog clock with a large date title. It also has widgets, allowing you to execute quick actions from the lock screen.
Besides the lock screen customization options of Nothing OS 3.0, Carl Pei has also teased the interactive dot animations feature of the upcoming operating system. As per the shared slide, it will have three layers, with the input image layer at the bottom, the live interaction layer in the middle, and the final output at the top.
This interactive dot animations feature will likely be for the Quick Settings panel, offering a fresh new look to the operating system. The Nothing OS 3.0 is also expected to come with a new native gallery app and a dedicated community app. Carl Pei says that the official announcement is set for September. It should be available on all the currently available phones from the company, including the recently released Nothing Phone 2a (available on Amazon).
