Nothing has announced that it has prepared Android 15 previews for two more of its Phones. The new Nothing OS 3.0 Open Betas are available for oldest and newest members of the brand's primary, Glyph LED-lit smartphone series. They unlock new system animations and features such as Shared Widgets, although their use comes with risks for both devices.

Days after the release of the first Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta for the CMF Phone 1, the same kind of software has become available to its 2024 cousin the Phone (2a) Plus (currently available for $409.50 with 12GB of RAM on Amazon).

Accordingly, the Dimensity 7350-powered smartphone now has its first official taste of Android 15, as does its predecessor. The Phone (1) is, as the name suggests, Nothing's first ever mobile device, yet has not been left behind in terms of development yet.

Nothing OS 3.0 Open Beta for the Phone (1) and (2a) Plus has the same changelog as that for the CMF Phone 1, with support for new charging and lockscreen animations as well as cross-device Shared Widgets and potentially improved functionality for the devices' Camera Widget.

On the other hand, Nothing cautions prospective testers that the Open Beta for all 3 phones is associated with greater odds of instability and data loss.

The versions for the Phone (1) and (2a) Plus have been released with the option of rolling back to Android 14 - however, doing so is "not recommended" at this time due to the risk of unforseen errors and issues - and also, again, the loss of all user data in the process.
