ChatGPT integration lands on Nothing Phone 2a with new Nothing OS 2.5.5a update
After Phone 2 and Phone 1, the Nothing Phone 2a is now receiving ChatGPT integration. It’s through the new Nothing OS 2.5.5a update, which makes it easier to get access to the AI assistant. One of the new additions is a gesture option on the Nothing X app, which enables you to start a voice conversation with the chatbot.
Then, there are the new ChatGPT widgets that enable Nothing Phone 2a users to access the AI chatbot from the home screen. Also, like the other phones, the 2a received a new button on the clipboard and screenshot popup, allowing you to directly paste content in a new conversation.
That said, the Nothing OS 2.5.5a update isn’t all about the ChatGPT integration. It also brings a good number of optimizations. For example, the main wide-angle camera of Phone 2a now offers optimized color consistency. The update has also introduced improved portrait brightness in HDR scenes and resolved the noise issues that were present in the portrait mode.
Besides, it promises improved camera app opening performance, which Nothing has achieved by adjusting the CPU scheduling strategies. There are other optimizations too. That includes better visual battery levels on the Battery widget, enhanced power-saving mode, improved call stability, and better auto-brightness adjustments. All these should lead to an improved experience on the Nothing Phone 2a (available on Amazon).
