Nothing Phone 2a Plus confirmed to launch with MediaTek's newest Dimensity 7000 series SoC
Now that the Nothing Phone 2a and CMF Phone 1 are out of the door, Nothing has yet another smartphone lined up. It is called the Nothing Phone 2a Plus and sits between the Nothing Phone 2 and Phone 2a and is slated for a July 31 launch, at least in India. The company has confirmed one of its key specs via an X post today.
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is confirmed to launch with MediaTek's newly announced Dimensity 7350. It is the chipmaker's first Dimensity 7xxx SoC with Arm V9 CPU cores (2x Cortex-A715 plus 6x Cortex-A510) and an Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU. Otherwise, it is a bog-standard mid-range SoC with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
Nothing also confirms the Phone 2a Plus could offer up to 12 GB of RAM, which will likely be accompanied by 256 GB of storage. MediaTek's platform allows for only LPDDR5x 6,400 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, so we'll likely be seeing those on the Nothing Phone 2a. Its other specs are unknown now, but more information should emerge in the coming days.
Phone (2a) Plus is powered by a world exclusive: the new MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro.
