Detailed Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro Fold display specs leak with overhaul planned for Google's foldable

Details about the Pixel 9 series continue to leak thick and fast, despite Google's best attempts at moving the conversation onto pre-release teasers. For example, the Pixel 9 Pro XL was recently shown next to thePixel 8 Pro, the former's direct predecessor. Now, Android Authority has got its hands on various new display details. In short, all Pixel 9 models will feature brighter displays than their predecessors, including the Pixel Fold. Allegedly, Google has achieved this by switching to M14 OLED panels produced by Samsung Display, which are slated to peak at 2,050 nits in the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. By contrast, the Pixel 9 will only be capable of reaching 1,800 nits. Nonetheless, all panels are approximately 28% brighter than the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro (curr. $749 on Amazon).

However, Google will persist with 120 Hz refresh rates across this year's flagships, even on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. As expected, Google's second foldable has a new form factor, which converts to a 20:9 aspect ratio for its cover display and a 1.02:1 aspect ratio for its foldable display. While the thickness of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold's bezels remains unclear for now, a recent Evan Blass leak shows that the Pixel 9 and Pro models have roughly the same sized bezels as last year's models.
