Xiaomi MIX Fold 4: Pricing revealed for global imports
The MIX Fold 4 is now official, having been presented last week. In recent months, Xiaomi has not waited too long before releasing devices globally. For example, the Redmi Pad Pro (curr. $279.99 on Amazon) debuted globally about a month after its initial Chinese launch.
However, there were signs beforehand that Xiaomi would offer the tablet in multiple markets and not just in its home country. By contrast, there has been no concrete evidence that the MIX Fold 4 will receive the same treatment other than a suggestion by Ice Universe that this could occur. Instead, Xiaomi's first global foldable smartphone could be the MIX Flip.
Nonetheless, the likes of Trading Shenzhen and Wonda Mobile are already offering the MIX Fold 4 globally. Please be aware that these retailers will ship units running Chinese software. As such, some banking apps may not work properly, which is also true of Google Wallet. Furthermore, while the Google Play Store can be installed and is installed by default with Wonda Mobile orders, Android Auto will still refuse to run. On top of that, although there are no 5G/LTE band restrictions to be aware of, the MIX Fold 4's eSIM functionality will not work unless you are using a Chinese network carrier. Currently, Trading Shenzhen and Wonda Mobile charge the following prices for the MIX Fold 4, which can be purchased in black, black fibre, blue and white finishes:
